INTERSPORT - Main sponsor of the first FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Asia
06.02.2007 | Continuing its long-term relationship with Nordic Skiing, INTERSPORT will be a main sponsor of the FIS Nordic World Championships taking place in Sapporo, Japan from 22nd February to 4th March 2007.
The Nordic Ski World Championships take place every second year in the disciplines cross-country, ski jumping and nordic combined. It is the first time in the history of the 47 championships, that this event takes place in Asia.
Sapporo, the capital of Hokkaido, has a population of approximately 1.8 million and is the fifth largest city in Japan. In this ideal northern metropolis, where advanced urban functions and abundant nature coexist, many people have resided and fostered a unique history and culture.
