UEFA has announced today the signing of a deal with INTERSPORT to become the UEFA EURO 2008™
Official Sports Shop for Licensed Products.
The agreement between UEFA and INTERSPORT covers 20 European countries, including the two
host countries of Austria and Switzerland, and also the major footballing markets of France and
Germany. In addition INTERSPORT Austria and Switzerland will handle the sales of licensed products
at the eight EURO 2008™ stadia.
As the first official retailer for licensed products, INTERSPORT will offer products in 800
stores across Europe and each store will have a dedicated area for selling the licensed products
range.
The first product range will be available in the eight host cities from June 2007 onwards and
in some 100 stores across hosts Austria and Switzerland later in 2007.
Commenting on the signing of the agreement Chief Operating Officer of UEFA Media &
Marketing Management, Philippe Margraff, said:
