Running is the most natural form of exercise:

  • You can do it anywhere

  • A minimum amount of equipment is required

  • Is not dependent on any weather condition

  • Anyone can do it

All you need to start your first run is shoes, comfortable clothing and the motivation to get out of the door and hit the roads!

...other reasons

Running is a sport where you are only dependent on one person – yourself. It is your own motivation and discipline that makes you go running and it is as well you who profits from the benefits it gives you. Running will increase your pride in yourself and soon you will discover that you are capable of achieving more than you ever thought you could.

Running gives you time to yourself. Even if you run with others, you are essentially alone. It gives you time to think and is a sort of meditation. Most people may start running to improve their health, but many become runners for other reasons.

Running is a road to self-consciousness, self-awareness and self-reliance. If a runner needs to have two outstanding characteristics, it’s independence and determination. When you run, you learn the harsh reality of your physical and mental limitations and learn how to deal with it, get through it and become even stronger.
