Athletics – Sponsorship Agreement for the European Athletics Championship 2010 in Barcelona / Spain

Life of sports enthusiasts will go on also after the Football World Cup. INTERSPORT is therefore proud to announce that it was able to conclude a major sponsorship agreement with the European Athletics association (EAA) for the European Athletics Championship taking place from 27th July to 1st August 2010 in Barcelona.

INTERSPORT will be one of the main sponsors of this event and will have a very strong banner presence in the stadium and outside (marathons and race walking). Besides that INTERSPORT will be represented on the press and interview walls, on printed matters and can use the designations “Official Sponsor” and/or “Official Sports Retailer” and/or “Official Sports Shop” for PR activities incl. catalogues etc.

Next to the Football World Cup, Olympic Games, the European Athletics Championship are among the most importantsports events. The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) is granting an excellent pan- European TV coverage and INTERSPORT will be dominantly represented as one of the main sponsors.
